12-1 PM (PST)

Join the BCMA and Dr. Sharanjit Kaur Sandhra in a follow-up workshop to her webinar from three years ago, #MuseumsAreNotNeutral: White Supremacy in Museums and Calls To Immediate Action

In this workshop, Sharn will encourage participants to question if museums have learned from the calls to actions from Black Lives Matter resurgence movement in 2020, and where anti-racist change is still needed in museums today.

This workshop will involve participation in breakout rooms, as engaging with this work is everyone’s job (not just that of the presenter). We encourage folks to send their questions to before the session so that we can discuss some of the challenges staff in museums, heritage, and cultural organizations grapple with today in relation to anti-racism and ongoing calls to action and accountability.
